Q&A
1. Are iBridge consultants hired
as full-time employees?
Yes. All iBridge consultants (both salaried and
hourly) are full-time W-2 employees of the company. We
hire only the most qualified professionals available
and offer them full-time employment, benefits,
training, and a challenging career! We generally do
not hire 1099 or independent consultants, and we do
not hire our professionals on a project-to-project
basis, as we are firm believers that the only way to
build a quality consulting practice is by surrounding
ourselves with the best and brightest for the
long-haul!
2. Does iBridge hire Independent or 1099
consultants?
No. Generally we do not hire independent or 1099
consultants unless we are asked by a client to hire
such a person on an exception basis.
3. What is the primary difference between the
salaried and the flexible hourly compensation plans?
iBridge offers each employee the flexibility to
choose between these two full-time compensation plans.
Both plans offer full-time employment and allow each
employee the same opportunity for advancement and
long-term career growth, and provide for other
important benefits such as the Company 401K
and Profit Sharing Plan, I.T. training reimbursement,
employee referral bonuses, and the Medical and
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. The primary
difference is that iBridge provides for the employee’s
insurance benefits under the traditional salaried
plan, and each salaried employee is paid for hours worked in excess of standard work hours
at a rate equal to his/her salary divided by 2,080
work hours. Under the flexible hourly plan, each
employee receives a larger hourly pay rate for each
hour that he/she works (including overtime), and is
eligible to purchase insurance benefits on an ala cart
basis primarily through pre-tax payroll withholding.
Please refer to the “Benefits” page for further
information.
4. Does iBridge offer bench time to its employees?
Yes. At the discretion of iBridge management, we offer bench time to those employees who
have chosen the salaried compensation plan
and those who have proven to be valued-added hourly employees
when unforeseen breaks occur between projects. Each
bench time situation is evaluated on an individual
basis by iBridge management, and bench time parameters
are set based upon management’s discretion regarding
the situation. It is important to remember that
iBridge has a long-term employment philosophy, and is
committed to caring for its valued employees over the
length of their careers!
5. Does iBridge hire both full-time employees for
its I.T. consulting practice and place candidates with
its clients on a permanent placement basis?
Yes. iBridge primarily hires full-time employees to
work as consultants within its I.T. Consulting
Practice, however we also work with a number of
strategic clients to assist them with identifying
permanent placement candidates for their long-term
positions that could not be filled with a consultant.
Each candidate has the option to work with us as a
potential iBridge consulting candidate, as a permanent
placement candidate, or as a candidate that will be
considered for either type of position.
6. When am I eligible to enroll in the iBridge
benefits program?
All iBridge employees are eligible to enroll in
their respective benefit programs (both the salaried
and the cafeteria plans) effective the 1st of the
month following their start date. This includes
eligibility for all of the insurance benefit plans,
the company 401K and Profit Sharing Plan, and
the Paid Time Off plan for salaried employees.
7. Are iBridge employees eligible to work flex
hours?
Yes. Generally speaking, all iBridge employees are
eligible to work reasonable flex hours provided that
those hours do not conflict with their individual
project schedule or the policies set by the iBridge
client that they are currently working with.
8. Does iBridge provide for technical training?
Yes. All iBridge employees are eligible to receive
I.T. training reimbursement for approved local
training courses and self-paced training materials
that promote professional or technical knowledge
growth.
9. Does iBridge support technical Certification
Programs?
Yes. iBridge supports the pursuit of each of the
major industry Certification Programs such as MCSD,
MCSE, Java, PMI, Oracle DBA, Sun, Cisco, etc., and
pays for approved training materials and pre-approved
Certification Exams that are passed.
10. What is the dress code for iBridge employees?
The dress code for most iBridge employees is generally
described as “business casual”, however it should
be noted that the dress code specified by each iBridge
client location takes precedent over iBridge’s
standard dress code.
11. Does each iBridge consultant employee have
regular access to members of the management team?
Yes. iBridge has an open door policy that promotes
interaction between the company management team and
each employee. To promote company involvement and
teamwork, members of the iBridge management team
regularly visit each employee in the field and plan
group employee events such as team lunches, monthly
happy hours, the annual Holiday Party and Summer
Event, and various ad-hoc professional sporting events
to which the company regularly takes its value-added
employees who have contributed to the company beyond
the regular call of duty.
12. If I submit my resume to iBridge, will it be
